You want to make a tactical game and then make the equipment random? But it means gear must not be mandatory, as any player could simply not be given the right pieces then. Not in the sense of the items per se (although I find some nearly mandatory and others nearly useless, but I think that's to be expected) but the system is just terrible. I also have no clue why the customization of soldiers is so strict btw, basically I ended up coloring some armors (I think 2 besides heroes) and click "show helmet", while on Xcom I went so far as downloading workshop custom characters, so it's not that customizing toons ain't my thing. This obviously means customization is now irrelevant except for the main story characters, since everyone else is going to get deleted sooner rather than later. If so, I simply delete the old one and recruit the higher level one.At first I would go and unequip everything from the deleted dude, but I "risked it" and found the game doesn't delete the items by default, so I'm convinced this is by design, too (which is not a pro).

Getting so low xp per mission with no modifiers (I.E. The whole experience system is completely borked, which makes recruits broken too. So I pretty much blasted through act1, and I started to notice annoying stuff. Extremely good performance, basically no loading times, the overwatch system is very interesting and apparently better (for me) than Xcom's, there's an actual plot, bla bla bla.
Obviously enough when this game got released I was stoked and instantly installed it. That said, I am one of those Xcom nerds, I've been deeply enjoying xcom2 with the expansion regardless of the abysmal performance, even thou it makes the game a slog at points. Weird question I know, it warrants an explanation and that's what I'm gonna write but it's not gonna be short, sadly.įirst of all, I got the game with the Xbox Pass, I did not spend 70€ on it.
